Creation room for musicians and artists

Matt Ristrom has been recording sound for over 30 years and performing as a musician for nearly 40. Matt was a founding member of Soul Bandit (still performing around KC) and The Unknown (rated as KC’s best funk band in 1993). After a short trip to LA to audition for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1993 Matt took a break from performing and recording until the advent of computer recording perked his interest again in early 2000. Matt built The Electric Dungeon recording studio in Overland Park, Kansas to record his own music and local bands around the KC area in 2001. The studio quickly grew to include a mobile rig for doing live recordings and full mixing and recording services. In 2005, the studio was downsized to a small production studio and mastering services were added as construction for the new studio in DeSoto was started. Matt has continued to offer remote recording and full mixing and mastering services during the construction, which was finally completed in 2012 as well as making cameo appearances with local Kansas City and Minneapolis bands.
